Customer Spotlight – Manchester Historic Association

Acapella Technologies is proud to serve all of our customers, and we are especially proud of the non-profit organizations that work so hard to make our communities better. The Manchester Historic Association is just such an organization.

Simply stated, the mission of the Manchester Historic Association is to collect, preserve, and share Manchester’s history. And what a history it is!

To assist in that effort, MHA opened the Millyard Museum in 2001 in one of the renovated mill buildings of the Amoskeag Manufacturing Company. It’s home to the permanent exhibit Woven in Time – 11,000 Years at Amoskeag Falls that tells the story of Manchester from the earliest settlement to the present time. Typical activities range from wildly popular historic walking tours of the city, to welcoming hundreds and hundreds of students on educational field trips to our Millyard Museum.

The museum has recently been home to extraordinary original exhibits, such as Manchester, the Primary & the Presidency, which brought unprecedented media coverage – local, national, and international – to the MHA.

We followed that blockbuster with Manchester’s Immigrants: Then and Now – a celebration of all the ethnic backgrounds who have settled here over the course of two centuries – and we recently raised the curtain on It’s Showtime! A History of Manchester’s Theaters.
